Guelph Police continue to investigate after a man was struck by a transport truck on Stone Road, closing a major intersection in the Royal City on Monday.
According to police, the collision happened just after 5:30 p.m. in the area of Stone Road and Gordon Street.
A pair of 18-year-olds, a man and his girlfriend, were crossing the road when the truck turned onto Stone Road. The man pushed his girlfriend out of the way and was struck by the front of the truck.
The young man was transported to a Hamilton hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for about two hours.
No charges have been laid at this time.
