Canadian women’s hockey team captain Marie-Philip Poulin has been ruled out of Canada’s game with the United States on Tuesday, after leaving Team Canada’s matchup against the Czech Republic Monday with an injury.
She took an awkward hit midway through the first period and was seen on the bench in lots of discomfort before heading back to the dressing room. She would return to the bench to finish the opening frame, but when the second period began she wasn’t seen on the bench and never returned.
A statement from the Canadian Olympic Committee lists Poulin as “day-to-day.”
