Traffic on the Alex Fraser Bridge between Richmond and Delta was jammed Tuesday morning after the driver of a semi-truck struck the median near the north end.

The trouble began before 5 a.m., after the crash on the East Annacis Channel Bridge.

Lanes in both directions were temporarily closed and reopened in different intervals throughout the morning.

As of 10:30 a.m., lanes in all directions have finally reopened. Drivers can still expect some delays.

The crash also led to delays on the East-West Connector for several hours. Meanwhile, a crash on Highway 99 affected traffic through the George Massey Tunnel.

Both the stal̕əw̓asəm and Pattullo bridges remain closed until Feb. 13, also leading to congestion in the Lower Mainland Tuesday morning.
