The Met Office has revealed which part of the UK could see snow tomorrow as it announces two new weather warnings. According to its forecast for Thursday, snow showers are expected in the north east, as yellow alerts for snow and ice are in place for parts of Scotland and England.

It reads: “Rain in the north pushes southwards, allowing brighter skies to develop across Scotland. Snow showers however in the northeast. Persistent rain in Wales and southeast England. Sunny spells in southwest.” The weather agency said snow is also to be expected in the middle and towards the end of February, once again affecting the north of the country.

Its forecast for February 15 to 14 reads: “Showers or longer spells of rain are expected as Atlantic low pressure systems dominate in the vicinity of the UK.

“Some heavy rain is likely in places, probably focussed on western hills, with some snow at times in the north, mainly on high ground. Strong winds are possible at times, especially around coasts.

“Temperatures will probably be near normal. Later in the period, there is a chance that drier, more settled conditions may begin to develop.”
