Defiant Rangers boss Danny Rohl insists their title bid isn’t over – but says they must beat Hearts at Ibrox on Sunday.
Gers dropped two vital points at Fir Park against 10-man Motherwell after on-loan Celtic player Stephen Welsh grabbed a late equaliser to cancel out Nico Raskin’s opener.
The draw left Gers five points off the league leaders and a point ahead of their Old Firm rivals who have a game in hand.
Defeat to the Jambos on Sunday could be fatal for Rohl’s men and he urged his players to claw themselves back into the race with a victory.
After a 1-1 draw in Lanarkshire, the German admitted it was a body blow in the Premiership run-in.
When asked if the Hearts clash was now win or bust in terms of the title, Rohl said: “Since I’ve been here, every game is a must-win game.
“There was not one game where I could say, this is not a must-win.
“Everyone says, we need this win today, we need the next win, and the next win.
“When you come from behind (in title race), that’s a big task.
“But we’ve done well until now. We’ve dropped two points but on Sunday it’s the next job to do.
“If we want, we have to. Hopefully we create a good atmosphere, we bring fresh players on the pitch and we go again.
“When you drop two points in our situation, of course it’s not nice.
“The good thing is we have another opportunity on Sunday.

Motherwell’s Stephen Welsh celebrates
“When you come from so many points behind, there’s no time for a rest.
“You have to be on the front foot again and win games.
“Tonight doesn’t mean the title race is over. It’s a bit of a blow because we dropped two points late.
“But we have the next opportunity and if our reaction is right we can get the right result one Sunday.
“It’s not an easy one but there’s still a chance for us so we’ll see.
“Our fans always expect and demand a win. It’s what we demand too.
“For me, it’s not about the world going under.
“We’ve dropped some points, here and at Hibs which isn’t nice.
“But I expected this race to go up and down for all three teams.
“We have to make a good game on Sunday and get the right result.”
Rohl raised a few eyebrows with his team selection at Fir Park when he left January signings Tuur Rommens, Andreas Skov Olsen and Ryan Naderi on the bench.
In-form centre-back Emmanuel Fernandez was also a sub against Well.
Rangers were second best for long spells in the game – but Rohl says he has no regrets over his line-up.
He said: “In football you have to pick the team before it, not after.
“Ryan had problems after training on Tuesday so it was too much for him to start.
“With Tuur and Skov you have to implement them in the rhythm of the game.
“I had to see both games, tonight and Sunday. I had to see them together, you need an idea for both games.
“So let’s see. It’s a draw and we’re disappointed so, of course, I take this.
“We started well in this game, the first 10 minutes were really strong for us.
“But the opponent was better in the first half and created more pressure.
“After the red card, it was normal that they had nothing to lose.
