Hereford FC can confirm that our upcoming home fixture against Darlington (17th February), will be played away from the MandM Edgar Street Stadium due to the ongoing issues affecting the playing surface.
The match will now take place at Sixways Stadium, the home of Worcester Warriors and Worcester City. Any questions relating to this fixture should be directed to Hereford FC ([email protected]) and not Sixways Stadium, Worcester Warriors or Worcester City.
Further information regarding season ticket holders, match tickets, subsidised matchday travel and other match information will be announced on Friday.
Despite the extensive work that has taken place at the MandM Edgar Street Stadium in recent weeks, the pitch is currently not in a condition that allows us to stage the match safely and to the required standard.
After careful consideration, and with the best interests of players, staff, supporters and the integrity of the competition in mind, and to allow the recent works on the pitch to take full effect, the decision has been made to relocate the fixture.
We understand this will come as disappointing news to supporters, particularly as the MandM Edgar Street Stadium is where we all want to be playing. However, this move is necessary while efforts continue to address the problems with the pitch and ensure a long-term solution.
We are grateful to Sixways and Worcester City for their support in accommodating the fixture at short notice, and for the ongoing understanding and support of the National League.
Thank you, as always, for your continued patience and backing during a challenging period.
