A police incident in Okotoks has come to an end, with one person in custody.
The Town of Okotoks alerted residents to an emergency situation on Patterson Road just after 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 11.
A release from the RCMP asked residents to avoid the area while police remained on scene and described the incident as “contained,” adding there was no risk to the public.
Personnel from the Okotoks RCMP, Okotoks Fire Department and paramedics were at the scene, along with RCMP tactical units, K9 units and a police helicopter.
At 4:45 p.m., RCMP provided an update confirming one person was in custody.
