Skubala felt it was one of their best performances of the campaign but was left frustrated not to take all three points after Sam Dalby’s late header.
The head coach was encouraged by the number of chances his side created, although Jack Bonham made a series of impressive saves.
“It was probably a great game for the neutral to watch, it was a good game of football,” Skubala told the club channels.
“We knew it would be a tough afternoon because they are a good team, but I thought our performance was very good.
“The emotion is frustration because I thought we created lots of chances, loads of shots on goal. I thought for 70 minutes we were the better team and in the end you are frustrated not to get the second.
“Then probably one moment that lands on their striker’s head even though he’s got bodies around it. But that’s football.
“We are disappointed and frustrated but I think when we dust ourselves down, we will think that’s probably a good point on Monday.”
The result sees Lincoln maintain their six-point cushion above the Whites, with a game in hand, as the promotion race hots up.
Skubala is confident there will be plenty more positive results before the end of the season if his side can replicate those performance levels.
“If we keep performing like that, we will pick up loads more points. If you look at those whole, even though it’s a draw it’s probably one of our best performances of the season,” he added.
“I think it’s 22 shots against their 10 and to do that against Bolton is very impressive. You see how hard they are working, but we just couldn’t get that second one over the line.
“Their keeper made some good saves and made it very difficult for us, and they get one moment near the end that hurt us and it feels a bit deflating. But it’s a good point against a very good team.”
