Five people have been taken to hospital after a stabbing incident at a home in North York Monday night, Toronto paramedics said.
Toronto police say they were called to the Bathurst Street and Steeles Avenue area around 9:44 p.m. for reports of unknown trouble at a residence.
Police found four victims with various levels of injuries who have since been taken to hospital, three of whom had been stabbed. Paramedics said three victims were transported in life-threatening-condition, one person was transported with minor injuries and a fifth adult was taken to hospital to be assessed.Â
One person has been taken into custody, police said.Â
A large police presence is expected in the area as police investigate.
