Coventry City team news from coventryLive as Frank Lampard names his starting line-up to face the Blades at Bramall Lane
Frank Onyeka makes his third consecutive start for Coventry City tonight
Frank Lampard has stuck with an unchanged side as Coventry City go in search of a third consecutive Championship win when they take on Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
The Sky Blues boss has made just one change to his match night squad, with right-back Kaine Kesler-Hayden returning to the bench in place of centre-half Luke Woolfenden.
That means that Carl Rushworth continues in goal behind a settled back four for the third game running with Bobby Thomas and Joel Latibeaudiere at the heart of the defence, flanked by Milan van Ewijk on the right and Jay Dasilva on the left.
Frank Onyeka is once again partnered alongside skipper Matt Grimes in midfield with Tatsuhiro Sakamoto operating out wide on the right and Ephron Mason-Clark on the left. That leaves Jack Rudoni in the number ten role on a night when Haji Wright continues to lead the line.
Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante provide alternative striking options from the bench while loan man Romain Esse is an alternative winger. Fellow loan player Min-Hyeok Yang is again absent from the 20-man squad.
City: Carl Rushworth; Milan van Ewijk, Bobby Thomas, Joel Latibeaudiere, Jay Dasilva; Frank Onyeka, Matt Grimes; Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Jack Rudoni, Ephron Mason-Clark; Haji Wright.
Subs: Ben Wilson (GK), Liam Kitching, Kaine Kesler-Hayden, Jake Bidwell, Josh Eccles, Victor Torp, Brandon Thomas-Asante, Romain Esse, Ellis Simms.
