Police are searching for a suspect who allegedly hurled anti-Black slurs and spat at someone in downtown Toronto earlier this year.
The incident happened on Jan. 16, shortly after 7:20 p.m., in the PATH underground network along King Street, between Scotia Plaza and First Canadian Place.
Investigators say a man allegedly engaged in an “unprovoked confrontation” with a person he did not know.
Police say the victim then confronted the suspect after they were spat on, but soon after the suspect aggressively walked toward them while uttering racial slurs.
The suspect was last seen walking toward Scotia Plaza.
Police describe the suspect as a six-foot-tall man in his late 20s with a slim build, dark-coloured hair, and tattoos on the backs of both of his hands.
