Toronto police are searching for three suspects who allegedly followed a female out of a bank in the city’s west end then stole her money.
The incident happened on Feb. 26 near Dufferin Street and Eglinton Avenue West.
Police say they were called to that area for a theft call.
They say the victim had attended a nearby bank and withdrew a large sum of money, placing it in the basket of her walker.
The suspects then allegedly followed the victim to a nearby fast food restaurant.
Investigators say the first and third suspects then distracted the victim by sitting nearby and engaging in conversation while blocking her view.
“During the distraction, Suspect Two stole the victim’s recently withdrawn money,” police said.
All three suspects then fled the area with the victim’s property.
