COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) – One of three former Gamecock women’s basketball players has safely made it out of Israel after Iran launched retaliatory missile strikes against the country.

Destiny Littleton posted an update to her Instagram Tuesday evening confirming that she has safely made it out of Isreal although she has not made it home yet.

Littleton, as well as fellow former players Tiffany Mitchell and Mikiah Harrigan, were all stranded in Israel, where they play for professional teams.

Littleton plays for Hapoel Jerusalem B.C and Harrigan plays for Elitzur Ramla. Mitchell last played for Hapoel Lev Jerusalem in the 2024-25 season.

Gamecock women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley took to X over the weekend to ask fans to pray for the players after the initial strikes.

At this time, it is unclear whether Mitchell and Harrigan have been able to safely leave Israel.
