A 15-year-old footballer has died after collapsing during a match.
Oxford United said its academy player, Amelia Aplin, collapsed during a game against Fulham at the club’s training centre in Horspath on Saturday afternoon.
Fulham FC Women said the club was “shocked and saddened” and its thoughts were with Amelia’s family and friends.
In a statement, the Junior Premier League said Amelia was “an enormously talented goalkeeper” and a “bright light in our all-stars programme”.
