Cox and Bruin received the Kendall Memorial Trophy and a £200 cash prize after the spaniel was crowned as this year’s champion.
A Tibetan mastiff called Viking, a Pembroke Welsh corgi named Hazel, and miniature schnauzer Spencer were among the six other pooches trying not to look too glum after missing out on the top prize.
Judge Tamas Jakkel’s choice for reserve dog was a petit basset griffon vendeen called Meghan, from Croatia, who earlier won the Hound group.
After Bruin’s victory, the dog’s handler described him as “a bit of a diva” who “likes his own way”.
“But he’ll never ever let me down,” Cox added.
