NOW, AS FOR WHERE I’M AT RIGHT NOW, PANOLA STREET HERE, I’LL SHOW YOU THE PROGRESS HERE. THE WATER WAS SHUT OFF RIGHT BEFORE 530 THIS MORNING. HERE, THE WATER HAS GONE DOWN A LOT, BUT NEW ORLEANS POLICE TELL US THAT THE SIDE STREETS ARE TAKING IN A LOT OF WATER. SO WE JUST WANT YOU TO ALL WHO LIVE UPTOWN TO BE CAREFUL. AND WE ALSO GOT AN UPDATE FROM SEWAGE AND WATER BOARD LEADERS. THEY TELL US THAT THIS WAS A 40 INCH MAIN BREAK. IT WAS SCHEDULED TO BE REPAIRED, BUT OBVIOUSLY IT DID BUST BEFORE THAT COULD HAPPEN. NOW, AS FOR SEWAGE AND WATER BOARD, THEY SAY THAT RIGHT NOW THEY ARE IN DC TO MEET WITH FEDERAL LAWMAKERS TO DISCUSS ISSUES JUST LIKE THIS. THEY SAY THE WAY THAT THEY CAN REALLY GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS, IF THEY CAN GET MORE FEDERAL FUNDING AND START PROGRAMS TO WHERE THEY CAN DO ROUTINE REPAIRS, AND ALSO REPLACEMENTS, SO OBVIOUSLY WILL BE UPTOWN AL
