Investigators with the York Regional Police Major Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for witnesses following a two-vehicle collision in the Town of Richmond Hill.
On Sunday, March 8, 2026, at approximately 1 p.m., police responded to a two-vehicle collision involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a motorcycle at Highway 7 East and Bayview Avenue in the City of Richmond Hill. Â
The driver of the grey SUV remained at the scene with minor injuries and the driver of the motorcycle was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
Investigators are appealing to any witnesses who have not yet spoken with police, and are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area around the time of the collision, to please come forward.
