The defender will undergo surgery after suffering the break against Reading.
City last night lost an appeal against his red card at the weekend – meaning Baldwin is now banned for the games with Port Vale, Wigan and Mansfield.
“He’s getting it done today,” said boss Graham Alexander. “He’s suspended anyway so we’re going to use that time.
“By the time he’s eligible again, that should be in much better condition.”
Baldwin wore a protective mask in the Leyton Orient win and will be encouraged to play in it again when he is cleared to return while the nose heals fully.
Alexander added: “I think he will. He was advised strongly to wear it and it was down to him.
“Sometimes it can affect a performance with a mask. But watching him play on Saturday, I don’t think it impacted him negatively at all.
“I thought he was superb. I was amazed at how competitive he was aerially, he didn’t shirk one thing and looked even more determined.
“It didn’t affect his performance negatively in any way, shape or form.
“I think it’s important to listen to medical advice but then, as a grown man, you make your own decisions.
“I don’t see why he wouldn’t follow the advice, but it will be down to Aden.”
