A man was attacked and tied up inside a house in West Derby yesterday. At around 8.40pm on Wednesday, March 11, Merseyside Police received a report that four men forced their way into a house on Parkside Drive.

They assaulted the occupant before tying him up. They then left, taking a coin collection and two hard drives. The victim, a man in his 30s, sustained minor injuries. Police attended and an investigation is underway, including forensic examination and obtaining CCTV and doorbell footage.

Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said: “I would urge people who saw four men acting suspiciously in the area of Parkside Drive to please contact us.

“I would also ask people who were in the area to check their dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage to see if they may have captured something which may be vital to the investigation.”
