Warwick Davis’ new girlfriend is said to be helping him rebuild his life after the death of his wife Samantha.
Actress Samantha Davis, the late wife of Harry Potter actor Warwick Davis, died as a result of a cardiac arrest following complications of essential surgery it has been confirmed. Samantha, who met Warwick at the tender age of 17, died at the age of 53 in March 2024.
Warwick publicly announced her passing with an emotional tribute. He said in statement: “Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs. She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes.”

In the moving announcement, Warwick, who met Samantha on the set of George Luca’s film Willow, went on to describe his late wife as his “most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career”. Their children Harrison and Annabelle also paid tribute to their late mother, stating that her “love and happiness carried us through our whole lives”. “Mum is our best friend and we’re honoured to have received a love like hers,” they added.
The Harry Potter star, 56, seems to have moved on with his love life as he was seen with an attractive brunette at the BAFTA awards. He nicknames her ‘Sponge’ and he paid tribute to her in his acceptance speech for ‘helping him find love again.’ The couple were also together backstage at a Madness concert last July- while his new love was alongside his two children when Warwick accepted his OBE at Windsor Castle earlier this week.
Sources close to the couple say they have been dating for a year and are apparently ‘happier than ever’ together. A source told the Daily Mail: “Warwick has been with his girlfriend for over a year now and they couldn’t be happier. She has no interest in being a public figure and — although she has accompanied Warwick to events — she does not court the limelight.

“She is so proud of Warwick and loves to be by his side at events, but she will stand back and allow him to be in the spotlight. She is close with his children and they have a lovely life together. All anyone wanted was to see Warwick happy and he has that with his girlfriend.”
