Matekino Gray’s return on the bench is the only change to the lineup named for the One New Zealand Warriors’ round six NRLW clash against Canterbury Bankstown at Accor Stadium on Saturday (5.15pm kick-off local time; 7.15pm NZT).
Middle forward Gray (20), who appeared in the first four matches of the season, missed the encounter with North Queensland as she followed concussion protocols.
She returns on the interchange for 18-year-old development player Ashlee Matapo, who put in an impressive 25-minute shift in the 12-6 Magic Round win over the Cowboys.
With major signing Michaela Brake unavailable for personal reasons, 19-year-old Tyra Wetere has again been named on the wing after making her NRLW debut last week.
The starting forward pack is unchanged from the one used against the Cowboys while the interchange is again built around impact middle forwards in Harata Butler, Ivana Lauitiiti – a standout on debut last week – and Gray.
The Warriors share eighth place on four points after five rounds but sit 10th on points for and against while the Bulldogs – the other new team in this year’s competition – are just one point ahead.
