Made an absolutely fantastic save with his feet early on, when it looked like Brighton were guaranteed a goal. That was pretty much the only save he had to make, with the goal sneaking in due to being unsighted with van Hecke just in front of him. Was OK with the ball to feet but not as comfortable as Roefs.

Lutsharel Geertruida: 6/10

Defended well at right back and was his usually steady but overly safe self on the ball, other than one burst forward in the first half when he tested the goalkeeper after a surge up the pitch.

Some good blocks throughout his time on the pitch, was aerially dominant and made some good passes forward to start attacks. Picked up a knock in the first half, which was presumably to blame for his treatment and subsequent substitution after the break.

Was really good today, other than one sloppy ball forward late on. Tested the goalkeeper with a header from a very high ball and seemed to be much more dangerous on the ball when Brobbey was on the pitch, giving him a target to aim for with clever balls inside.

Dealt pretty well with Minteh down the left and went close in the second half following a one-two with Rigg but shot just wide of the left hand post.

Orchestrated most of our good moves from the middle of the pitch but there were also quite a few sloppy bits of play from a player who does look a little rusty following his injury. Surged forward in the first half and had a couple of great chances to let a shot fly but picked out Talbi, who was probably in a worse position instead.

Had an early shot blocked and got up and down each wing whenever he had the opportunity. Read the game well on a few occasions when Brighton were threatening around our box.

Never stopped running when Brighton were in possession, putting in a lot of effort in a high press and also made some good runs off the ball but was disappointing when he was actually in possession, with some bad touches when well placed.

Worked hard off the ball but was lively when running at his man down the right, had a good finish disallowed for Alderete being offside earlier in the move, had an overhead kick go narrowly wide and although he faded as the game drew to a close, still had easily his best Premier League performance, particularly in the first half.

Had a couple of dangerous runs down the left wing, where he would get past a couple of players and drive into the box but wasn’t in the game enough. Still had a couple of chances, with one cleared off the line early into the game.

We looked far more dangerous with Brobbey up top, despite him not having the best game. Blasted a shot well over the bar when he was well placed, with the player himself winning the ball after the team pressed high up. He was always a good out ball, with the ball sticking to the Dutch striker, allowing runners to get up with him.

Put in some dangerous throw ins which we probably should have made more of.

Really struggled to make a mark on the game, despite working hard, he couldn’t impact the Brighton centre halves as well as the man he replaced.

Had the last effort of the game with a half volley that went comfortably over.

Man of the Match: Chris Rigg

Both centre halves were really good today but my man of the match is Chris Rigg who hopefully had a performance that will see him kick on in the Premier League. Went close with an overhead kick in the first half, troubled the Brighton left back all game with his quick feet, was unlucky to have a goal disallowed when Alderete was offside, got back well to defend when needed and was involved in all of our best attacking moments.
