(TNND) — The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps vowed to “hunt down” and “kill” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday as the conflict between the US, Israel and Iran enters its third week.

If this criminal, the killer of children, is still alive, we will continue working to hunt him down and kill him with all our strength,” the IRGC said in a statement published on its official website.

The Middle East has been ground zero for military operations since February 28, when the US and Iran targeted the region in a coordinated operation that resulted in the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The threat against Netanyahu was made after the Israeli leader touted the US and Israel’s operations in destroying Iran and reshaping the Middle East.

“We are in historic days, days that will be recorded in the annals of Israel. In ‘Operation Roaring Lion’, our roar is growing stronger,” Netanyahu said in an address to the nation on Thursday. “We are crushing the terrorist regime in Iran. We are striking and crushing its proxy Hezbollah in Lebanon.”

Since then, Iran has been responding by launching retaliatory missiles and drones at Israel and countries across the region.

On Saturday, killed two senior intelligence officials from Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Emergency Command during a targeted airstrike.

The IDF identified the two officials as Abdollah Jalai-Nasab and Amir Shariat, adding that the operation was carried out with precise guidance from Israeli Military Intelligence.
