This is the first picture of a ‘cannabis-smoking’ dad from Walsall who murdered his five-week-old daughter.
Evil Sean Jefferson was found guilty of murdering baby Darcy-Leigh Jefferson today following an eight-week trial at Stafford Crown Court.
The 35-year-old monster had repeatedly subjected his daughter to physical abuse during her short life.
She died of a ‘catastrophic’ brain injury, which medical experts said was caused by either ‘violently’ shaking her or hitting her head on a surface.

Darcy – who weighed just 4lbs when she was born premature at Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield on February 20, 2022 – had 47 rib fractures when she died.
The jury heard how this was likely caused by her chest being tightly ‘squeezed’.
Her mum, Amy Leigh Clark, 34, of Enots Close, Lichfield, was found guilty of causing/allowing the death of a child.

The court heard how paramedics had rushed to Darcy’s home in Burntwood on Mother’s Day in 2022 after the tot collapsed. Jefferson and Clark were both arrested the next day.
Sadly, Darcy died in hospital two days later on March 29.
Her parents were charged over her death in May 2025, following a lengthy police investigation.
Police said Darcy’s brain injury was “not an isolated” attack and that she had been subjected to repeated assaults.
Jefferson was also found guilty of causing/allowing the death of a child and two counts of Section 18 – grievous bodily harm with intent.
Detective Chief Inspector Ian Fitzgerald of Staffordshire Police said: “Today’s verdict concludes a profoundly distressing case involving the murder of five-week-old Darcy.
“Her short life and tragic death must not be forgotten.
“Darcy was violently abused and murdered by her father. Her mother allowed her death.
“These were the people who should have loved and cared for her. It was despicable behaviour against a defenceless child.
“It has been an exceptionally difficult investigation and the thoughts of the entire investigation team remain with her elder sibling, who has faced an unimaginable loss and a lengthy judicial process.
“I wish to acknowledge the professionalism and dedication of the officers and staff who have worked so tirelessly on this case, but also the CPS prosecutor and barristers, Harpreet Sandhu Kings Counsel and Joshua Purser.”
Jefferson and Clark will be sentenced at Stafford Crown Court at a later date.
