The action from this Round 5 fixture in the 2026 Betfred Super League begins at 7pm local time at Stade Ernest-Wallon in France or 6pm for fans who are in the UK.
The Saints return to France for a second time in three weeks. This time they’ll face the newly promoted Toulouse side for the first time since 2022 when they last competed in the Super League competition.
Paul Rowley’s team are on a four-match winning streak. They secured victories at the BrewDog Stadium against Leigh Leopards and Bradford Bulls and won away against Catalans Dragons and Castleford Tigers, with that defeat over the Tigers coming last Saturday night in the Challenge Cup.
Sylvain Houles’ side have impressed in the 2026 campaign so far, with some flair in their attack and tough, battling performances in the early stages of the year. They started 2026 with an away victory over Wakefield Trinity and followed it up with a home win over Castleford. However, they’ve fallen to defeat away at Bradford and on their own turf against Wigan in the previous two rounds.
After a week without Challenge Cup action, Toulouse will be highly motivated to perform well in front of their fans, so the Saints are expecting to head into a hostile environment come Friday night.
Lee Briers will be speaking to the press later on today, with the full Coach Preview to be made available to Saints TV subscribers.
SQUAD NEWS
Coach Rowley makes four changes to the squad that booked our spot in the Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter Finals last weekend.
Hookers Daryl Clark and Jake Burns both suffered failed Head Injury Assessments in the game against Castleford, and the pair are stood down for this fixture and are currently following return-to-play protocols.
Back-rower Curtis Sironen also suffered a calf injury in the match at The OneBore Stadium, which will force him to join our injured Saints on the sidelines for a few weeks.
Winger Kyle Feldt will begin his three-match penalty notice after being charged by the Match Review Panel following last Saturday night’s match.
Young star prop George Delaney is back available for selection after successfully finishing his return-to-play protocols, which meant he missed out on last week’s Cup clash.
Four young products of the Saints Academy, Tom Humphreys, Billy Keeley, Cole Marsh and Chris Matagi are included in Rowley’s travelling squad. Humphreys, Keeley and Marsh are called into the squad for this fixture, whilst Matagi retains his place from last week. If any of them are selected to play in the match against Toulouse, it would be their senior debut with the Club, and they would then be allocated an official squad number.
