TOWIE star Jordan Wright is believed to have died in a drainage canal near Bang Tao Beach in Phuket, Thailand. On March 14 he was seen on CCTV looking restless outside a hotel shortly before his body was found. His body had been discovered at around 12:30pm on March 14 when a passer-by notified officers from Choeng Thalay Police Station. The Crime Asia Facebook page shared details that he was identified as a 33-year-old British national.

He was discovered lying face down in the canal in a grey shirt and black trousers without any shoes on. A keycard for the Coco Phuket Bangtao Hotel was found in his pocket, police have said, with his phone nearby on the canal bank. Investigators have said there were no signs of physical assault or a struggle. His body has since been taken to Vachira Phuket Hospital for an autopsy.

Officers later went to the hotel to gather information and review footage from the security cameras; staff told police he had checked in alone and was due to check out on March 13. Nothing suspicious was found in his rome, officers reporterd. Police have said they are awaiting the autopsy results to determine the cause of death and whether alcohol or intoxicants were involved.

Prior to the man being named as Jordan Wright, an FCDO spokesperson confirmed: “We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Thailand and are in contact with the local authorities”.

Jordan had stated on Instagram in January that he had moved to Thailand, with his final post showing various snippets from his time in Phuket, posted on March 6.

Tributes have poured in from friends, with one person writing on his last post: “No words. Love you Jord.” While another said: “Can’t believe what I’m hearing. Lots of fun times and good memories with you mate. Rest easy.” A gym he attended also commented to write: “Can’t believe what we are hearing. Oh Jord. Will cherish our times. Krystle and Alper x.”

Another wrote: “You’ll be sorely missed my friend, may you rest in eternal peace,” while others were posting sad faces and dove flying emojis.

A friend of his, who Jordan had posted a photo with back in 2025, also reshared the old photo to his Instagram story paired with three red heart emojis.
