FIFA announced on Thursday evening that it would not suspend the Israel Football Association, despite the demand from the Palestinian Football Association. The Palestinian association raised the request for suspension at the 74th FIFA Congress held in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2024 – but the issue was not put to a vote. Subsequently, FIFA authorized the organization’s Disciplinary Committee to investigate the claims against Israel, and the committee determined that the Israel Football Association should not be suspended.
