Toronto police say a man on their most wanted list was arrested in Mississippi and will return to Toronto to face 2024 murder charges in the death of Trevor Joh

One of Canada’s most wanted fugitives, who is accused of murder in a double shooting in 2024, has been arrested in the United States, Toronto police say.

In a news release on Tuesday, police said Adrian Walker was taken into custody in Oxford, Miss., a day earlier.

Walker was listed as Canada’s 14th most wanted fugitive in a list compiled by the BOLO (Be On The Lookout) program earlier this year.

He will be transported to Toronto, where he will be charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder in connection with a fatal shooting in the area of Winona Drive and Vaughan Road on the early morning of May 7, 2024.

The shooting claimed the life of 31-year-old Trevor Dalton John. A woman also suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the shooting.

Another suspect, 20-year-old Kemyan Franklyn, was arrested on May 30, 2024 and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.
