Roads closed in Cambridge after crash involving car and e-bike

“Please avoid the area and find alternative routes. Routes will also be closed to pedestrians,” a police spokesperson said.

The ambulance service told the BBC it had sent two ambulances, an ambulance officer vehicle and a response car from East Anglian Air Ambulance to the scene in the early hours.

“We were called just before 12:20 this morning with reports of a road traffic collision on Newmarket Road, Cambridge, involving a car and an e-bike,” a spokesperson said.

“Two patients were transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital for further care.”
