A man was fatally injured in a quad accident in East Mayo yesterday.
The man, aged in his 60s, died following the incident that occurred in the Tavrane area, near Kilkelly, yesterday evening.
He was on the vehicle on farmland when it overturned and pinned him underneath.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man’s body was removed to Mayo University Hospital for a post mortem examination
His name has not yet been released.
The Coroner for Mayo has been notified and an inquest into the circumstances of the death will be conducted at a later stage.
