Portland police make arrests after protests escalate outside ICE facility
Police in Portland, Oregon, began arresting agitators for assault and criminal mischief Saturday evening after protests escalated outside an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility hours after several “No Kings” protests ended across the city.
“Police have observed criminal activity, including assault and criminal mischief, and will be making targeted arrests,” the Portland Police Bureau said in a post on X.
Police declared an unlawful assembly earlier in the evening and directed protesters to move away from the ICE facility.
“If necessary, crowd control measures, including impact munitions or other physical force, may also be used if justified by law,” the bureau said.
Video from earlier Saturday showed masked agitators tackling federal officers to the ground outside the facility.
Department of Homeland Security officers were also seen confronting agitators, who shouted expletives and threw objects at law enforcement.

3 hours agoGOP lawmaker says ‘only monarchy’ is in Democratic Party amid ‘No Kings’ protests
Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., called out Democrats over what he described as the irony of the “No Kings” protests, asserting that the “only monarchy seems to be in the Democratic Party.”
In a video posted Saturday on X, Burchett argued that Democrats forced former President Joe Biden off the ticket in 2024 before moving forward with then Vice President Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate without holding a primary election.
Burchett also said Democrats attempted to legally remove then-candidate Donald Trump from the ballot in certain states leading up to the election.
“You’re the ones with the royalty issues, it sounds like to me,” he said, referring to Democrats.
He added, “There’s no kings on this side of the ocean, but the only monarchy seems to be in the Democratic Party.”

Breaking News4 hours agoVideo shows masked agitators attacking federal officers after ‘No Kings’ protests in Portland
Staggering video showed masked agitators in Portland, Oregon, tackling federal officers to the ground on Saturday, hours after more than a dozen “No Kings” protests concluded across the city.
The violence unfolded outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland just after 6 p.m. local time.
Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officers were seen battling agitators as they shouted expletives and threw objects at law enforcement.
The word “nazis,” among other hate speech, was spray painted on the building.
While agitators were seen on video wearing gas masks, DHS officers did not appear to be wearing gas masks or carrying non-lethal weapons.
The Portland Police Bureau posted a statement on X warning, “Do not breach the doors or enter the ICE facility or property. Failure to adhere to this order may subject you to citation or arrest.”
Police added that, if necessary, crowd control measures — including impact munitions or other physical force — may be used.
“You are directed to move away from the ICE Facility,” officials said.
In an earlier post, the bureau noted it had “extra resources on hand” in South Portland “in case there’s a need to address any public safety concerns and criminal behavior,” clarifying it is not involved in immigration enforcement.
The bureau also warned against starting fires, saying they could lead to arrests or citations.

Two rioters have been arrested for assaulting federal law enforcement, according to DHS.
DHS added, “Law and order will prevail.”
The announcement came after the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed earlier Saturday that “multiple” people were arrested after failing to disperse during a riot near the downtown DHS building.

Protesters attending the “No Kings” rally in New York City Saturday told Fox News Digital they took part in the march to show opposition to the Trump administration, which they claim is “destroying our country.”
“You can’t bomb your way out of the Epstein files,” said a protester named Michael.
Another protester named Al said he was there to “reject the regime.”
“There’s a lot of corruption in the White House,” Al said. “It’s time to clean up.”
In one of the largest single-day nationwide demonstrations in U.S. history, “No Kings” organizers told Fox News Digital that at least 8 million people gathered Saturday at more than 3,300 events across all 50 states.
Counter-protesters also attended the New York City event, telling Fox Digital it is their constitutional right to do so.
“We’re just here to show support to our president of the United States that … even though they think that he’s a king, he’s not a king — he was elected by the peers of the United States, by the citizens who used their electoral vote, and he won by unanimous decision,” a counter-protester named Michael said. “We’re here to support our president.”
Ronan, another Trump supporter at the rally, echoed the same sentiment, adding he was also there to support the police.
“I’m here to show them that, first of all, the United States — the last time I checked — we don’t have kings. That’s the United Kingdom,” Ronan said. “I’m here to also express my freedom of expression and speech.”

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed “multiple” people were arrested after failing to disperse in a riot near the downtown Department of Homeland Security (DHS) building.
LAPD has declared a “tactical alert” for the city, noting tear gas was deployed by federal authorities after agitators were warned “multiple times” not to throw items or attempt to pull down the gate to the DHS facility.
Officials said agitators were throwing “large concrete blocks, bottles and other objects” over the fence outside the building.
7 hours agoYouth activists at ‘No Kings’ rally tout $18M damage from anti-ICE hotel protests
A youth-led organization originally established to advocate for climate justice told Fox News Digital at a “No Kings” rally in New York City on Saturday that it has shifted its focus toward targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and fighting what it refers to as the “Trump regime.”
Cameron, a representative for the Sunrise Movement, said the group is now prioritizing direct action over its traditional environmental goals, arguing it is “kind of hard to pass climate policy in a crumbling democracy.”
The activist said Sunrise has been organizing “wide awake” noise protests outside of Hilton hotels that provide lodging for ICE personnel, boasting that the disruptive tactics are succeeding.
Cameron claimed the noise protests have cost Hilton hotels at least $18 million.
“We know of at least four hotels in the area that have said they will no longer be collaborating with ICE, so it is working,” he said.
The representative also warned there is “a lot more direct action coming down the pipe,” revealing the group is currently holding training sessions to prepare for a planned “general strike.”

The Los Angeles Police Department’s incident commander has declared a “tactical alert” for the City of Los Angeles following the “No Kings” protest earlier Saturday.
Police said tear gas was deployed by federal authorities after agitators were warned “multiple times” not to throw items or attempt to pull down the gate to the Department of Homeland Security facility.
“Federal Authorities have deployed more tear gas due to demonstrators throwing large concrete blocks, bottles and other objects over the fence,” LAPD wrote in a statement on X.
A dispersal order was issued at about 5:30 p.m. local time, with authorities giving everyone in the area 15 minutes to leave before arrests are made.

Police in Colorado confirmed at least nine people were arrested Saturday during a “No Kings” protest in Denver.
The Denver Police Department said the peaceful protest escalated when a small group of protesters blocked a road where officers were staged.
An unlawful assembly was declared, and after repeated orders to disperse were ignored, officers deployed smoke to break up the crowd.
A smoke canister was allegedly thrown back at officers, prompting police to utilize pepper balls.
Officials said a total of nine people have been arrested.
The event is ongoing, but police said the size of the crowd has “decreased significantly.”
10 hours ago’No Kings’ protests being coordinated by network of 500 groups
A Fox News Digital investigation found that a network of about 500 groups with an estimated $3 billion in combined annual revenues were behind the coordinated nationwide “No Kings” protest Saturday, including communist groups who used the day to call for a “revolution.”
According to a copy of the permit for the “flagship” march in St. Paul, Minn., Indivisible, a national well-heeled Democratic political advocacy organization funded by billionaire George Soros, is the lead coordinator for the protest.
Fox News Digital has also identified key participation by a network of radical socialist and communist organizations funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American tech tycoon and avowed communist living in China.
Large protests create massive audiences and national media attention, allowing smaller ideological movements to spread their messaging, recruit activists and build momentum for campaigns that extend well beyond a single day of demonstrations.
CodePink circulated graphics tying the protests to anti-imperialist messaging, and called for members to join demonstrations in cities including Washington, D.C., Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and New York — linking the protests to opposition to U.S. policy toward Iran, Cuba, Venezuela and Palestine.
In recent weeks, the group has supported Venezuelan strongman Nicholas Maduro, the late Iranian Ayatollah Ali Khomeini, President Xi Jinping.

Democrat Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz hurled insults at President Donald Trump during a speech at Minneapolis’ “No Kings” protest on Saturday, admitting “you’re damn right we’ve been radicalized.”
In a speech highlighting his vision of Minnesota as a “land of hope and dreams,” Walz referred to the president as a “wannabe dictator” and an “orange clown” destined for the “dustbin of history.”
Walz accused the White House of sending “untrained, aggressive thugs” to “do damage” to the state, blaming the administration for the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, and demanding justice for his “traumatized” community.
Minnesota residents Good and Pretti were fatally shot in January during separate confrontations with federal immigration enforcement agents.
Pushing back against accusations of far-left extremism from the president, the governor fully embraced the label.
“You’re damn right we’ve been radicalized,” Walz said, claiming his supporters have been “radicalized by compassion,” “decency” and the drive to “oppose authoritarianism.”
Walz also used the platform to double down on his support for the state’s immigrant populations, pledging to Somali Minnesotans that their descendants will “still be here” long after Trump is gone.

American actor and director Robert De Niro delivered a fiery speech at New York City’s “No Kings” protest on Saturday, claiming President Donald Trump is an “existential threat to our freedoms and security” who “must be stopped.”
During the address, De Niro accused the president of engaging in unnecessary wars that waste resources, sacrificing military personnel, and slaughtering innocent people.
He went on to claim the Trump administration is stripping healthcare access from vulnerable citizens, driving up the cost of living, and deploying “government mass thugs” to “shoot down our neighbors in the streets.”
“There have been other presidents who have tested the constitutional limits of their power, but none have been such an existential threat to our freedoms and security — none except Trump,” De Niro said. “He must be stopped, and he must be stopped now. It’s time to say no to kings. … We’ve had enough. No king Trump.”
De Niro also directed his anger at Congress and administration officials, referring to them as “goons” who collude with Trump’s “diabolical” actions.
Praising the “No Kings national uprising,” he argued politicians “should be more afraid of us.”
“We still believe in the core American values of justice, equality, decency and kindness,” De Niro said. “We’re going from the streets to the ballot box. … We all deserve a country with no kings, no Trump.”

“No Kings” protesters are holding a “FireStephenMiller Rally” in Washington, D.C., on Saturday and plan to march past the residence of White House deputy chief of staff for policy Stephen Miller’s residence at a historic U.S. Army post.
The march is planned from the Southeast side of the Frederick Douglass Bridge. The group plans to march past Fort McNair, specifically targeting Miller’s residence.
A page for the event, which began minutes ago, says “Miller is carrying out this agenda while living comfortably right here in our community, at Fort McNair in Southwest DC” and “we’re going to make it clear we want Miller out of DC and out of power — and we’ll be taking this message directly to his doorstep.”
“On March 28, join us to make it clear that No Kings means #FireStephenMiller. Rally with us starting at 1:30 PM on the southeast side of the Frederick Douglass Bridge and then march with us past Fort McNair where Miller is living,” it added.
Miller and his family relocated to military housing after facing ongoing protests outside their home in Arlington, Virginia, Fox News Digital reported last November.

15 hours ago500 groups with $3B in revenues are behind the #NoKings protests and communist call for ‘revolution’
ST. PAUL, Minn. – A network of about 500 groups with an estimated $3 billion in combined annual revenues is behind the coordinated nationwide “No Kings” protest Saturday, including communist groups who are using the day to call for a “revolution,” according to a Fox Digital News investigation.
According to a copy of the permit for the “flagship” march in St. Paul, Minn., Indivisible, a national well-heeled Democratic political advocacy organization funded by billionaire George Soros, is the lead coordinator for the protest.
But Fox News Digital has also identified key participation by a network of radical socialist and communist organizations funded by Neville Roy Singham, an American tech tycoon and acvowed communist living in China.
Over nearly a decade, Singham has financed a constellation of activist institutions that promote revolutionary socialist politics and frequently collaborate in protest campaigns, including the People’s Forum in New York, the Party for Socialism and Liberation, the ANSWER Coalition and CodePink, whose co-founder Jodie Evans is married to Singham. These groups work closely with the Freedom Road Socialist Organization.
They are all sending members to the protests and one group said they plan to bring a message of “revolution” to the protests.
On Friday evening, at the corner of N. Fremont Avenue and N. 37th Avenue in downtown Minneapolis, members of the Twin Cities chapter of the Party for Socialism and Liberation packed a car with stacks of bright red protest signs they had prepared at the Dream Shop for Saturday’s demonstrations. They are part of the Singham network and co-sponsors of the St. Paul protest.
The posters read “NO KINGS. NO WAR.” with “PARTY FOR SOCIALISM AND LIBERATION” printed at the bottom. Activists stacked the signs upside down with their wooden picket handles attached as they loaded them into the vehicle, preparing to distribute them at the next day’s main protest at the state capitol in St. Paul.

The group advised its followers on Instagram to “join the antiwar contingent” at the Minnesota State Capitol on Saturday.
“In January of 2026, Minnesota was the epicenter of a major people’s movement against the Trump administration’s extreme right-wing, billionaire agenda,” it said.
“After facing nationwide mass resistance against their disgusting campaign of ICE terror, the administration has turned their sights on the people of Iran. This war is not just a catastrophic loss of life, but an enormous waste of our taxpayer dollars that takes away funding for public schools, housing, and healthcare,” the group added. “We must oppose this war with the full strength of mass movement. We need to fund people’s needs, not the war machine!”

Bruce Springsteen defended his anti-ICE and anti-Trump political stances ahead of the upcoming “No Kings” rally in St. Paul this weekend.
“You want to try to meet the moment,” Springsteen told The Minnesota Star Tribune on Wednesday. “The No Kings movement is of great import right now. When you have the opportunity to sing something where the timing is essential and if you have something powerful to sing, it elevates the moment, it elevates your job to another level. And I’m always in search of that.”
Springsteen is kicking off a new tour following the release of his latest song, “Streets of Minneapolis,” a protest tune that criticizes President Donald Trump and his administration’s deployment of thousands of federal agents to crack down on illegal immigration in the state.
Springsteen stood by his openly political song despite backlash, quoting friend and fellow musician Tom Morello, saying, “Nuance is wonderful, and sometimes you have to kick them in the teeth.”
“I don’t worry about it. My job is very simple: I do what I want to do, I say what I want to say and then people get to say what they want to say about it,” Springsteen said.
“Those are the rules of my game. That’s fine with me. I don’t worry about if you’re going to lose this part of your audience. I’ve always had a feeling about the position we play culturally, and I’m still deeply committed to that idea of the band. The blowback is just part of it. I’m ready for all that.”

18 hours ago’No Kings’ calls itself leaderless but its own internal documents tell a very different story
“No Kings,” a decentralized protest movement that crystallized in opposition to President Donald Trump’s second term, will hold thousands of events on Saturday morning, according to Sarah Parker, an organizer for one of the events in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The protests mark the most recent development for the amorphous group, which has prompted similar events in the past.
“Tomorrow we’re going to have over 3,500 events across the country,” Parker said. “I think it’s important to be out in the streets at this moment in time to save our country. The events will be overwhelmingly peaceful and there are going to be millions of Americans from different affiliations, different ages and different ethnic backgrounds coming together to be in community.”
“I think this is organic. This is a people-powered movement. We have different local hosts that are volunteers who have stepped up to host an event in their areas, even in rural areas. We have hundreds of events in rural and deep-red states,” Parker said.
Parker did not describe how “No Kings” works with local figures to organize events but said the protests aim to build on local displeasure with the administration.
“No Kings” first burst onto the scene through “No Kings Day” in June 2025, an event that, in the words of their website, inspired “a nationwide uprising 14 times larger than both of Trump’s inaugurations combined.”
Almost a year later, the protests scheduled for Saturday hope to continue their opposition, touting opposition to Trump’s recent actions in Iran and debates over immigration enforcement.
Despite Parker’s framing of a decentralized movement, No Kings provides a highly-structured document for organizers titled “March 28 Toolkit,” instructing viewers on how to recruit their own speakers, delegate roles, register their event and use No Kings branded media materials. It also lays out best practices for logistics as well as how to avoid permitting and insurance requirements for event-holders.

New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said Friday that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) should be abolished, blasting the federal agency as “rogue” and “reckless” as questions mount over the city’s handling of illegal immigration following the fatal subway killing of an elderly veteran.
During a news conference announcing new street safety efforts, the mayor said he has spoken to President Donald Trump about immigration enforcement operations in the city, claiming ICE a “rogue agency.”
“We’re making clear that no one is above the law in this city, that everyone has to follow the rule of law,” Mamdani said. “I have made clear to the president, both in our private conversations and our public conversations, about the fact that I believe that ICE is a rogue agency.”
The mayor went on to support protests against the Trump administration, endorsing the “No Kings NYC” protest planned for Saturday in Manhattan.
“I think that rallies are an incredibly effective way for New Yorkers to both organize together and make it clear what their vision is for the city, for the state, for this country,” Mamdani said. “I think that what we’ve seen is that there’s an attempt to make many in our city feel as if they are alone, when they believe that ICE has no place in our city, when they believe that every single New Yorker who lives in this city belongs in this city, and should be made to feel as if such.
“What these rallies are — are also an opportunity to realize that you are not in the minority when you have those beliefs. You are, in fact, one of a growing coalition of people who want to see a shred of decency, dignity and humanity come back to our city and our country’s politics.”

Sen. Bernie Sanders and Bruce Springsteen are set to join what is being billed as the flagship “No Kings” rally on Saturday at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul, reports said.
The event, set to kick off around 1 p.m. ET, will feature the attendance of singer Joan Baez and actress Jane Fonda, according to FOX9 Minneapolis-St. Paul. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Rep. Ilhan Omar also are advertised for the rally.
The Minnesota capital region took center stage earlier this year in the debate over immigration enforcement operations led by the Trump administration.
The state of Minnesota is now suing the administration for access to evidence related to a series of shootings there involving federal agents that sparked condemnation from Democrats. Anti-ICE protests also have unfolded in Minnesota in recent months, with dozens of arrests.
On its event page, the “No Kings” St. Paul says it will be “a day of healing for those who’ve seen violence, A day of celebration for the lives of those we’ve lost. A day of peace for those who’ve done war, And a day of happiness, despite all of the attempts to break us.”
“No Kings 3 is how we; average people, show the World a Path Forward. One that can be kinder, gentler. One that can be happier, and brighter. A Path that can be more JUST for those who walk it, and one where our neighbors, no matter who they are, can FEEL SAFE AGAIN,” it added.
