Both the Delaware State Police and New Castle County Police are investigating the discovery of human remains found in two different parts of New Castle County over the weekend.
Troopers on Sunday morning, March 29, 2026, were investigating the discovery of a body off of Route 40 in the area of Appleby Road.
Around the same time, New Castle County Police were called to check on possible human remains found along the South Branch of Naamans Creek near the intersection of Big Oak Lane and Ravine Road.
The Delaware State Medical Examiner’s Office will be assisting police in their investigations.
