The man who died following a quad-biking incident in Kikelly yesterday evening has been named locally.
Jimmy Forkin, aged in his 60s, from Carrabeg, was driving the ATV on farmland in Tavrane, when it overturned and pinned him underneath.
Emergency services attended the scene, and his body was brought to Mayo University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Mr. Forkin will be sadly missed by his heartbroken wife Chris, nephew Gavin, extended family and many friends.
His funeral details have been announced today.
Mr. Forkin will repose at the Marian Funeral Home in Knock on Saturday evening (August 9) from 6:00pm until 8:00pm, with removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Glann.
His Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday at 2:00pm, followed by burial in Culmore Cemetery.
