Two men have been arrested after a man’s body was discovered in a Warwickshire road following a suspected hit-and-run incident, police said.
The victim, in his 50s, was discovered on Monk’s Park Lane in Atherstone, just after 01:30 BST on Friday.
Warwickshire Police said its main line of inquiry was that a vehicle had hit the man and left the scene.
A 23-year-old man from Nuneaton and a 74-year-old man from Shifnal, in Shropshire, were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, drink driving and failing to stop at the scene of an accident.
