Israeli airstrikes have left widespread destruction in Dahiyeh, Hezbollah‘s stronghold in the southern suburbs of Beirut, forcing most residents to flee.
However, while Shiite areas of Lebanon‘s capital face repeated bombardment and mass displacement, nearby Christian neighborhoods remain largely untouched.
