The Blues were missing a handful of players through injury in their Easter Monday win against Birmingham City, including Wes Burns and Ivan Azon [both calf], while Azor Matusiwa [dead leg] was withdrawn during the game.
It remains to be seen how many will feature against the Canaries, but Burns certainly won’t be ready to be involved at Carrow Road.
“Wes won’t be available,” McKenna revealed. “He won’t quite make it. Hopefully he’ll get back with the group next week.
“Azor will be a decision tomorrow. We’re still waiting to see. Thankfully it was just – I say ‘just’ – a dead leg, so no big injury.
“Ivan will be another decision tomorrow.”
Leif Davis has missed the last three games through suspension, having been charged with violent conduct for an incident in the 1-1 draw against Leicester City.
While he hasn’t featured in a Championship match in more than a month, McKenna claims that he’ll be ready to go against Norwich on Saturday.

“He’s been training, of course, and played some minutes over the international break,” McKenna revealed. “So he’ll be in the squad.”
Ashley Young [hip] hasn’t played since the 2-0 win over Bristol City on January 20th, but McKenna is confident that the 40-year-old is taking steps towards recovery.
“He’s training with a group now,” he explained. “He’s managing well.
“We’re still modifying a little bit, but as I’ve said, it’s massive having him out there. He just adds to the group every single day that he’s with us.
“It’s good to have him back involved.”
Jaden Philogene, on the other hand, is back and playing, having recovered from an MCL injury that he suffered against Blackburn Rovers at the start of 2026.
That being said, we haven’t seen much of him, and he’s yet to start, with McKenna admitting that it will still take a bit of time to get him up to full speed.
“He’s getting there,” he stated. “It’s been a bit of a challenge.
“Those types of injuries can be really niggly on the last stages of it.
“He got his first minutes at Millwall. He actually got a kick in the Millwall game pretty much as soon as he came on, so he was hampered in that one.

“Then we had to give another little course of treatment over the international break that got him back ready for some involvement the other day. He felt much better when he came on than he did in the Millwall game. That’s a positive.
“Of course, he’s been a massive loss. He was maybe the standout forward player in the league up until January and we haven’t really had him available since then.
“We’re working hard, he’s working hard to get back to that place and to build the confidence and he’s getting a lot closer.
“We’ve got a decision to make around this weekend, but I’d say the positive was he came through Monday feeling good and we know the immense quality that he’s got.
“We’ll hopefully see lots of that in the pitch over the next few weeks.”
