Child dies in Redcar dog attack, police say

A child has died in a suspected dog attack, police have said.

Cleveland Police said it was called to an address on Hardale Grove, in Dormanstown, Redcar, shortly after 13:30 BST over reports of concern for a child.

When officers arrived at the property, the child had died and the force said it was believed to have been the result of a dog bite.

It said one dog had been destroyed on the street and another at the property had been seized.
