Two people critically injured last week in a Norwich Township collision that claimed the lives of two teenagers and an adult have now died of their injuries in hospital, provincial police said Thursday.
The 21-year-old and 46-year-old, both from Tillsonburg, were among five people riding in an SUV on March 31 when it collided with a transport truck at the intersection of Highway 59 and Quaker Street around 3 p.m.
A 13-year-old and 17-year-old, both from Tillsonburg, and a 39-year-old Cambridge resident were pronounced dead at the scene, while the 21-year-old and 46-year-old were rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“Those passengers […] have since succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced deceased,” police said in a brief media statement.
The driver of the transport truck was not physically hurt.
“As a result of the investigation, no charges will be laid, and no further information will be released,” police said.
