The current closure along the M1 between Junctions 21 and 20, near Lutterworth, are having a knock-on effect on the M69.
Google maps shows that the M69 also has heavy congestion, with delays reaching 25 minutes and traffic being ‘much slower than usual’.
National Highways said drivers should expect the M1 closure to remain for a ‘protracted time’, as an accident investigation still needs to take place.
