Two men are in serious condition in hospital after a targeted shooting in the northeast early Friday morning, Calgary police say.

Officers responded to Tarawood Grove NE around 2:30 a.m. for reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, police discovered two men had been shot white sitting in a vehicle on the street.

Both individuals were taken to hospital in serious, life-threatening condition.

Police say no arrests have been made.

Investigators believe the shooting was targeted and there is no risk to the public at this time.

It’s believed the suspects fled in a dark, newer-model pick-up truck.

The investigation is in its initial phases and Calgary police say no further information will be provided at this time.
