INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WFIE) – Indiana Governor Mike Braun has announced an initiative that is meant to create a strong partnership between Indiana and Israel.
‘Iron Nation Indiana’ will give Israeli tech companies the opportunity to build their operations in Indiana.
Governor Braun hopes bringing these companies to Indiana will boost the state’s business, education, and healthcare industries.
Gov. Braun says, “When they were looking to go to Silicon Valley or New York, they liked what they saw here: a governor that understands it – a legislature that’s willing to put some oomph behind it – and this whole idea of turning Indiana into more than just an advanced manufacturing hub and logistics hub.“
The initiative is backed by a 15 million dollar investment from the state of Indiana, as well as over 30 million dollars from ‘Iron Nation’.
