Iran unlikely to open Hormuz if it can’t generate revenue: Analyst

Samir Kapadia, Managing Principal at Vogel Group, says the first issue that needs to be addressed on the Strait of Hormuz is whether Iran can make revenue from it, as it wants a ‘sanctions shield’ to ‘save face’ from war. He adds that Australia, India, China, Japan, and NATO members must move off the sidelines and play a more active role in preventing conflict-driven disruptions from shaping global energy trade.
