St.Helens First Team 21-man squad announcements are sponsored by R Whitle Ltd.

Kick-off at the MKM Stadium, the home of the Black & Whites, is scheduled for 8pm.

The Saints are travelling to Hull in pursuit of their third consecutive victory, following on from recent wins over Wigan Warriors on Good Friday and last Friday’s Quarter-Final defeat of the Catalans Dragons. That latest victory secured Saints’ place in the Semi-Finals of the Betfred Challenge Cup.

Having exited the Cup in the Fourth Round against Leigh, the Black & Whites have had a week off. They will be eager to bounce back after losing to their cross-town rivals Hull KR in the Rivals Round.

St. Helens and Hull FC met twice in 2025, with the Red V coming out victorious in both home and away fixtures to retain The Steve Prescott Cup last year.

The annual contest between the Saints and the Black & Whites is played over the regular season meetings between the two sides, with the team that has the highest aggregate score across the home and away fixtures winning the trophy.

Rowley will preview the match with the media tomorrow afternoon at his weekly press conference, which fans can watch back on Saints TV.

📰 SQUAD NEWS

Paul Rowley makes three changes to the Saints squad that beat Catalans Dragons in the Challenge Cup Quarter-Final last Friday night.

Sadly, it has been confirmed that Jake Wingfield has suffered an ACL injury, which will require surgery and means the forward will play no further part in our 2026 season. Lewis Murphy also picked up an injury against the Dragons, a dislocated elbow, which is still under assessment. Young Academy talent Oscar Knox also steps out.

It is a welcome sight to see club captain Matty Lees returning to the 21-man squad selection for the first time since our first match of the season against Workington Town in the Challenge Cup, where he suffered a knee injury.

Young Saints Alfie Sinclair and Billy Keeley are included in the team travelling to Hull. If Keeley or fellow Academy graduate Tom Humphreys were to feature in the match day seventeen, they would make their official senior St.Helens and Super League debuts.
