There’s plenty to be excited about right now if you’re a fan of the Calgary Flames.

Though the Flames won’t be participating in the playoffs this year, their strong rebuild approach thus far points toward a very bright future, which should include plenty of postseason action. Even better is that the action will come in a state-of-the-art facility.

As fans in Calgary are well aware, construction on Scotia Place, the soon-to-be home of the Flames, is well underway. The building, which is expected to be ready for the 2027-28 NHL season, is already seeing parts of its roof being put into place.

While the progress being made is very impressive, fans still haven’t got a full idea as to what the building will look like from the inside once completed. That is now beginning to change, as Scotia Place released renderings on Wednesday that showcase the indoor plaza, the Flames’ team store, and the community arena.

“Flames fans, we are in for a real treat, honestly, I can’t wait for the new arena to open,” one user commented on Instagram.

There were plenty of others who shared the same excitement over these newly released renderings.

“This place looks phenomenal, and I can’t wait to experience my games and concerts here,” another individual quipped.

Flames fans have already quickly learned what having a brand new facility can do, as they, along with Edmonton, will serve as two of the host cities for the 2028 World Cup of Hockey. And, while there is plenty of work to be done before anything is complete, this new building also has the city of Calgary, along with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith, considering putting forth a bid to host the 2038 Olympics.
