People are believed to be seriously hurt following a crash west of Hamilton.
Police said the single-vehicle accident occurred about 9.10am on State Highway 23 in Whatawhata, near the intersection with Ferguson Road.
“Indications are there are serious to critical injuries involved,” police said in a statement.
The road was closed while emergency services attended.
