A stabbing in a mall parking lot north of Calgary earlier this week led to a Canada-wide search for a suspect who was eventually arrested in B.C.

Officers arrived to find a man with a chest wound. He was transported to a Calgary hospital, where he is now in stable condition.

The victim identified the suspect to police.

Mounties obtained a Canada‑wide warrant and learned the suspect travelled to Surrey, B.C.
