SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. — An “active incident” involving a barricaded person occurred on Sunfield Street in Sun Prairie on Sunday, police confirmed to Channel3000.com.
The Dane County 911 Communications Center received an initial call at around 10:33 a.m. Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Dane County Sheriff’s Office.
A dispute began with neighbors, which then escalated to the person barricading themself, police said.
The incident occurred near Sunfield Street, just behind the Sun Prairie Public Library. No lockdown was implemented for the library.
Sun Prairie police are asking people to avoid the area of the active scene.
