A section of Henderson Highway was closed on Sunday after Winnipeg police say a pedestrian was hit early that morning.

Police told CBC News that a pedestrian was hit near Neil Avenue and Henderson Highway around 5:20 a.m. on Sunday. 

Officials did not provide any information about the pedestrian’s condition or how long police would be on scene. 

A stretch of the highway was closed to northbound traffic, police said.
