On April 19, 2026, just before 5:20 a.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to the intersection of Henderson Highway and Neil Avenue for a report of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian.

A 32-year-old male pedestrian was transported to hospital in critical condition where he was later pronounced deceased.

The man was crossing Henderson Highway on foot when he was hit by a vehicle travelling northbound on Henderson Highway.

The driver immediately called 911 and remained on scene and spoke with officers.

The Traffic Division is continuing with the investigation.
