INVESTIGATORS SAY HE CAME TO THE PARK KNOWING THERE WOULD BE A FIGHT WHILE HE WAS THERE. INVESTIGATORS SAY HE GOT INTO A FIGHT WITH A JUVENILE, THEN PULLED OUT A GUN AND FIRED IT. Winston-Salem police have made an arrest in connection with a mass shooting at a park that killed two juveniles and injured five others. Police said five others were shot and injured.A day after the shooting, law enforcement officials announced they would charge any adults who were there watching the fight. They said that would include young adults. Officials said Joel Michael Gamble-Toliver, 18, has been charged with felony child abuse. Officers said this charge applies when a parent or any other person providing care to or supervision of a child less than 16 years of age, whose willful act or grossly negligent omission in the care of the child shows a reckless disregard of human life and results in serious bodily injury to a child under the age of 16. Gamble-Toliver appeared before a magistrate Monday night and was also served with an outstanding warrant from an unrelated investigation conducted by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office. Following an additional investigation, officers said Gamble-Toliver will also be charged with felony riot. Officials said Gamble-Toliver came to Leinbach Park knowing that a fight would occur. During the ordeal, he was in a fight with a juvenile male.Detectives said they also determined that Gamble-Toliver fired a gun during the incident.”We will be charging those adults.
